Care & Support
Every resident at Belmont House is an individual first. Whatever their needs, our team is here to offer warm, attentive care that adapts to each person, including those living with dementia.

Support Supporting Residents Living with Dementia at Belmont House
At Belmont House, we provide care for a wide range of needs, and for some of our residents, that includes living with dementia. While we are not a specialist dementia care home, we recognise that many older people experience some degree of memory loss or cognitive change, and our compassionate team is well-equipped to offer thoughtful, person-centred support as part of our wider care approach.
We take the time to understand each resident as an individual, their history, their preferences, and what makes them feel comfortable and at ease. For residents living with dementia, that personal knowledge shapes how our team interacts with them day to day, keeping familiar routines, offering calm reassurance, and creating an environment that feels safe and welcoming.
Families are always kept informed and involved. We understand the emotional weight that comes with this journey, and we're here to support relatives as well as residents, answering questions honestly and making sure no one feels alone in navigating it.
"We may not specialise in dementia care, but we do specialise in caring for people. For every resident at Belmont House, that means dignity, warmth, and a genuine sense of belonging, whatever each day may bring."
If you'd like to discuss whether Belmont House is the right fit for your loved one, we're always happy to have an open and honest conversation. We'll help you understand what we can offer and, if needed, guide you towards additional specialist support.
